“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolour, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of all of them”
It is nearly autumn! The Autumn Equinox will take place on the 22nd September this year, at which point we will have to officially say good bye to the summer! Although we will miss the long days, and excuse to eat lots of ice cream, here at the Tea Lounge, we are looking forward to lots of exciting things the new season brings. Keep your eyes open for our Bonfire Night specials on the 5th November, and offers alongside events like the Vintage Fayre on the 8th October.
When we were seeking inspiration for our bonfire menu, we had a look through some of the classic recipes, and we have compiled a few of them for you to check out below:
-The s’more! We love that on BBC good food they’ve reinvented this traditionally sweet recipe with savoury ideas such as cheese and bacon and melty ploughman’s. Check it out here: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/search/recipes?query=smores&=Search
-This is a cute, child friendly recipe, sausages made to look like rocket fireworks: http://www.kidszine.co.uk/bonfire-night-sausage-recipe-sausage-rockets/
-Toffee apples are a great recipe to experiment with, as you can decorate them in so many different ways: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/13599/homemade-toffee-apples
We hope this inspires you, and we look forward to seeing you in the Tea Lounge soon!
