Signage Redesign

“Even if you can’t draw, do a little doodle or rip an illustration from a magazine – these visuals will help bring your idea to life”.

John Emmerling

Recently, plans have been underway to redesign all of our Tea Lounge signage. We want the brand to be fresher and more cohesive, so we got illustrator Laura Normansell on board to bring our ideas to life. If you keep your eyes open, you’ll see the changes coming soon!

Laura graduated from Falmouth University with a 2:1 in BA (hons) in Digital Animation in 2013, and has worked on various projects since then. You can see examples of her work on her tumblr. page, and official website:

Her visuals are helping our ideas for the Tea Lounge come to life, and hopefully her work will inspire you too!

On the topic of illustration, we have an exciting event coming up for you. The Eye Candy and Illustration Fair will be taking place in St Martins on Saturday 1st October. They have ‘invited [their] favourite artists, illustrators and crafters to sell their beautiful products at [their] art fair […] Expect to see prints, clothing, homewares, accessories and more from a range of talent […] There will also be a selection of workshops to take part in and it is all FREE!’ (Eye Candy Facebook Event Blurb). You can find out more information at

If you keep your eyes open, we will have special offers available on the day in the Tea Lounge to coincide with the event.

N.B. Please note that the blog cover image has been used with permission of illustration by Laura.
