“As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations, compounded by December’s bad weather, it is good to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the same.”
Donald E. Westlake
As the UK’s second largest city, Birmingham offers lots of opportunities for shopping at Christmas! Here are a few of our favourite places to head to:
Frankfurt Christmas Market
A lot of people from Birmingham simply refer to this as the German Market, and it is a highlight of the Christmas season. You can get some lovely handmade, traditional gifts, and there are lots of tasty treats on offer too.
The market is open from the 27th November, right up to the 29th December (excluding Christmas day), between the hours of 10am-9pm.
The Custard Factory
The Custard Factory is a really cool and unique space in Digbeth, host to amazing street events like Digbeth dining club. They also have some independent shops, with gifts that aren’t every day fare, from global craft beers to vintage pieces.
The Bullring is home to over 160 shops, so you are bound to be able to find a gift to suit every taste.
There are even more shopping places to explore in Birmingham, these are just our top 3 picks, find out more below:
